We installed a unique glass wine cellar entrance for a sophisticated way to view and retrieve classic bottles. See the finished project!
Our team was excited after receiving a unique glass partitioning project enquiry. The client got in touch as they were interested in installing glass partitioning to form an entrance way that led into a beautiful wine cellar.
As this glass wine cellar project was not a standard installation, there were a few challenges to face; from fitting the glass to the slope of the ceiling and trunking leading up to it to the unusual height of the room when you enter, we couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
At Glass Partitioning UK, we are passionate about creating unique glass workspaces. To form a stunning glass entrance into our client’s room of collected wines, we used a 12mm thick safety toughened glass partitioning. After taking accurate measurements and ceiling templating, this was fitted to the unusual height of the room, complete with an overhead panel. It was set in slimline black tracks to match the framework of the glass door.
To provide access into the glass wine cellar, we installed a black framed glass door that similarly used 12mm thick safety toughened glass and a black, stainless steel drop seal. The glass door uses a self closing hinge to preserve the conditions that the wine bottles are stored in. The client also required a non-standard handle that was different to our usual installations, however, we were able to fit the perfect black 600mm square pull handle to the glass door that gave a sophisticated way to access the bottles.
The client received a modern and elegant glass wine cellar entrance that, once completed, acted as a design piece for individuals to view and retrieve their wine collection. With our expertise in glass partitioning, we were able to overcome the challenge of installing glass partitioning around the sloped ceiling and trunking, as well as installing a unique door handle to complete the look.
At Glass Partitioning UK, we love a challenge. Our team is passionate about creating glass projects, no matter how unique. We love to learn from every opportunity, whilst ensuring we stay committed to delivering high quality glass interior solutions.
